Camp Lucky XVIII
Bearly Legal! And we do mean bears!

August 4-8, 2010

Circle Pines Center
Delton, Michigan

Home of the Bacon S'more!

THE BASICS
Lucky is legal, ready to vote, and just registered for the draft (draft beer that is).

We are returning to our now-hallowed, well-stomped grounds of Circle Pines Center in beautiful Delton, Michigan. Lucky's 18th year of fun includes partially limitless fun for all ages, including seasonally appropriate swimming, canoeing, row-boating, pork and pork products, campfires, kid-friendly and kid-unfriendly activities, a sauna in the woods, ample trails on which to hike and get lost and eaten by woodland creatures, and of course giant, nuclear mutation sized croquet (if the neighbors come).

Please come out and enjoy Camp Lucky with us again this summer, and if you want to bring all those children you have, enjoy the return of CabinNanny, who will be monitoring your children politely from Swallows Lodge while you get funny down at the lake after hours.

Join us anytime between 5:00 pm, Wednesday, August 4 and Sunday, August 8 at 1:00pm at Circle Pines Centre in scenic Delton, Michigan (about half an hour from Kalamazoo). Various cabin options are available at cheap prices; you will have to bring your bedding. You can also bring your children, as those seem to be all the rage these days.

Don't worry, we are friendly, and look good covered in bacon strips.

LODGING AND PRICING
Kids under 3 stay free, half-sized kids (aged 3-12) are half-price

Swallows Lodge - $30/night/person
Renovated last year, with new and improved non-moldy showers. Alas, the rumors of magic fingers beds and central iPod docks were unfounded, but it still a great place to stay with your little ones. Inside lodge, 4 to a room, mostly bunk, some doubles, indoor bathrooms.

Orchard Cabins - $30/night/person
Sleep 4 each, nearby toilets.

Acorn Cabins - $20/night/person
Sleeps 12, a little far from main lodge, nearby toilets.

Junior Cabins - $20/night/person
Max 4 people per cabin near main camp-fire, kind of far from the main lodge

Tenting - $10/night/person

EATING THINGS
As always, breakfast will be provided to campers. This year we're thinking of doing communal dinners as well. Unlike the breakfasts which are provided and cooked by your hosts, the dinners will be communally planned, prepped, cooked and cleaned up. This is not a requirement, but as our communal dinners in the past started to exceed 80% of the attendees, it made sense to give everyone a chance to join in the fun. Jenny will send out more information to attendees to try to organize the festivus. You should still plan on bringing your own beverages, lunch food and snackie-snacks. A full kitchen is provided, and there's always your engine block.

WEARABLES
You can preorder Lucky t-shirts from us or we will have a few extra at camp. If you order in advance of camp, we will give you a discount! Design info coming soon.
Standard (men's style) shirts in S,M.L,XL,XXL,XXL $10 pre-paid, $13 day of.
